Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Skilled in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Ability to work long hours as required
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance per company standards
  • High standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Compliance with company policies and safety regulations

  • Flexible to participate in M.O.D. and Saturday coverage

Job Qualifications

  • College course work in related field helpful
  • Experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Skilled in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
  • Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
  • Familiar with sales policies and selling techniques
  • Attend all company required meetings and trainings
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
  • Maintain high personal appearance and grooming standards
  • Comply with company standards and regulations
  • Problem-solving skills and confidentiality maintenance
  • Ability to understand and evaluate complex information.

Job Duties

  • Attend daily Highgate Hotel Business Review (HHBR) meeting
  • Develop a full working knowledge of hotel operations including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and Reservations
  • Adhere to company sales policies and ensure sales team compliance
  • Meet or exceed set sales goals
  • Operate the Sales Department within established sales expense budget
  • Participate in required M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage
  • Initiate and follow up on sales leads
  • Maintain an active sales solicitation program
  • Monitor production of top accounts and evaluate market trends
  • Regularly contact existing accounts per Account Coverage Program
  • Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals
  • Entertain clients with lunches, tours, and site inspections
  • Assist in implementing special sales promotions
  • Prepare required sales reports timely
  • Conduct professional site inspections with clients highlighting key property features
  • Manage business using computerized sales management systems
  • Meet and greet onsite contacts
  • Abide by Prime Selling Time (PST)
  • Develop networking through community and professional associations
  • Review meeting planner evaluations with Director of Sales
  • Handle inquiries as part of Inquiry Day Program.
