Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in hospitality or related field preferred
  • proficiency in Windows and relevant software
  • ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • ability to work long hours when needed
  • ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • must attend required meetings and trainings
  • maintain high personal appearance standards

Job Qualifications

  • College coursework in a related field helpful
  • experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • skilled in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • ability to work long hours

Job Duties

  • Attend daily Highgate Hotel Business Review meeting
  • develop a full working knowledge of hotel operations including food and beverage, guest services, and reservations
  • develop and enforce knowledge of company sales policies and SOPs
  • meet or exceed set sales goals
  • manage sales department budget
  • participate in management on-duty and Saturday office coverage
  • initiate and follow up on leads
  • maintain an active sales solicitation program
  • monitor production of top accounts and evaluate market trends
  • maintain regular contact with existing accounts
  • meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals
  • invite clients for hotel tours and entertainment
  • assist in implementing special sales promotions
  • prepare reports in a timely manner
  • conduct thorough site inspections with clients
  • utilize sales management systems for business processes
  • meet and greet onsite contacts
  • uphold Prime Selling Time
  • develop networking opportunities
  • review meeting planner evaluations
  • entertain clients
  • handle inquiry day program
