Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one-year previous retail experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, customers, and donors
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously
  • Ability to grasp, push, and pull various objects such as carts and merchandise racks
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Take an active role and partner with the Store Manager in daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management and rotation, ARC merchandising standards and donations
  • Assume responsibility for all day-to-day store operations including personnel and cash handling in the absence of the Store and/or Assistant Manager
  • Assist Store Manager to monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals set by Command Retail Directors and Command Administration
  • Schedule Store Employees to ensure appropriate coverage in store and donation center, coordinate daily morning and shift change team meetings, provide coaching, training, and development to the Store Employees, and process paperwork related to Time and Attendance compliance
  • Ensure high levels of Customer and Donor satisfaction through excellent service
  • Develop strategies to improve service to maximize the customer experience
  • Support Store Manager to ensure Back Room Processors/Warehouse Associates work effectively and efficiently to meet daily processing goals
  • Supervise, support, and conduct reporting of program Beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place at the store
  • Responsible for protection and security of store currency, inventory, and property including safe funds, bank deposits, products for sale, store equipment, and building security
  • Ensure building is secured during non-operating hours with alarm system arming and alert protocol
  • Establish and maintain safety measures consistent with ARC policy and governmental regulations, and report safety issues and incidents immediately
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors and Command Administration.
