Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
  • knowledge of hotel sales processes and group booking parameters
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with various departments
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to handle customer inquiries and lead requests
  • experience in up-selling and revenue maximization
  • ability to manage operational tasks related to contracts and proposals

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED or 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hotel and Restaurant Management
  • 2 years experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
  • group sales experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to collaborate with multiple teams
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and resort amenities
  • proficiency with sales and booking software
  • customer service orientation
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Handle customer inquiries and lead requests for local group bookings within established sales parameters
  • refer business outside parameters to sales associates
  • collaborate with other sales channels to coordinate complementary sales efforts
  • work with hotel attractions and outlets to book group business opportunities
  • leverage knowledge of hotel amenities to close sales
  • verify business booked is within hotel guidelines
  • assist in selling and implementing group sales promotions
  • close sales opportunities based on market conditions
  • execute operational tasks such as proposal generation and contract creation
  • actively up-sell to maximize revenue
  • conduct site inspections as needed
  • utilize company marketing initiatives to close deals
  • implement process improvements
  • coordinate with sales support staff to meet revenue goals
  • set clear expectations for customers
  • attend meetings to understand group needs and obtain feedback
  • provide complete turnover to Event Management and Local Social Management
  • ensure smooth handoff between sales and operations
  • monitor resolution of guest issues
  • process business correspondence
  • perform other duties as assigned
