Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field
  • minimum 3 years of leisure sales management experience in a luxury hotel
  • fluency in English
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules
  • proficiency with sales database management
  • demonstrated creativity and commitment to service excellence
  • physical ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, reach, bend, kneel, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds

Job Duties

  • Develop sales strategy to solicit and develop existing accounts revenue goals
  • prospect and uncover new business in assigned market territory
  • monitor Hotelligence reports and other hospitality related resources to gain market share from the competitive set
  • promote awareness and positive image of Dorchester Collection and the hotel internally and externally
  • maintain accurate and clean Nexus account database with timely input of all opportunities
  • conduct hotel tours and coordinate on-site client entertainment showcasing hotel services and amenities
  • travel to attend trade shows, events, and conduct sales calls as required
  • assist in the development of marketing plan and budget for market territory
  • work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the hotel
  • supervise sales coordinators to ensure daily task completion and potential development
  • participate in relevant meetings including forecast, daily business revenue, weekly revenue, and sales meetings
  • conduct quarterly site visits to competitor hotels and report on opportunities and advantages
  • report and collaborate on resolving hotel imperfections and issues
  • maintain communication with other departments to ensure operational alignment
