Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Sales and/or hotel experience preferred
- Proficiency in Delphi or similar sales software
- Strong aptitude for numbers and Excel spreadsheets
- Excellent keyboarding and office administration skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexible to work nights or weekends occasionally
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing excellent guest service
Job Qualifications
- Sales and/or hotel experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Strong sales and relationship management skills
- Proficiency with Excel and sales software such as Delphi
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Previous experience in event coordination or hospitality sales is an asset
Job Duties
- Screen and traffic all inquiries into the sales office
- Prepare and distribute timely all proposals, contracts, resumes and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for catering and/or sales department
- Work closely with the DOS/DOC to meet hotel/guest needs
- Print GRC’s and sales reports for Sales and Staff Meetings
- With DOS/DOC supervision and approval, present and propose rates for wedding blocks and social groups
- Establish and maintain a strong relationship with all assigned accounts
- Make maintenance calls daily, weekly, and monthly
- Provide day of event support, meet and greet clients, support operational efforts
- Act as liaison between client and staff for flawless execution
- Give site tours to potential catering clients and weddings
- Connect with clients pre, during and post events addressing changes and billing issues
- Communicate effectively between group and staff for exceptional guest service
- Respond to guest concerns or complaints if needed
- Attend weekly Staff and Sales meetings if needed
- Support DOS/DOC on an annual marketing plan
- Prepare sales kits and create marketing flyers
- File Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), Contracts, Proposals, and Credit Card Authorizations
- Assist in letter writing for Sales, Catering and GM
- Obtain in-depth knowledge of Delphi
