Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to travel frequently overnight and out-of-state
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in sales tracking and reporting tools

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in tourism, hospitality management, business, or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in tourism sales, destination marketing, or hospitality sales
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Knowledge of destination marketing organizations and tourism industry dynamics

Job Duties

  • Promote Mississippi's tourism assets statewide and nationally to drive visitation
  • Execute sales strategies aligned with Visit Mississippi's goals
  • Identify and pursue new domestic market opportunities
  • Support the Chief Sales Officer in meeting sales targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with DMOs, CVBs, attractions, and stakeholders
  • Represent Visit Mississippi at regional and national trade shows and events
  • Support destination development efforts by identifying product gaps and market opportunities
  • Track sales activity and prepare reports
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams
