Job Requirements
- Minimum two years’ experience in sales or front desk roles with a branded hotel
- Prior Marriott brand experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
- Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
- Must be well-groomed and conform to hotel dress code
- Capable of physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 lbs, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching
- Willingness to work prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- Must demonstrate aggressive hospitality and a commitment to guest satisfaction
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year hotel sales or front office experience
- Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and portray good people skills
- Excellent organizational and guest relations skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Polished appearance
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
Job Duties
- Provide administrative support to the sales team
- Act as primary contact for meeting and banquet functions
- Book corporate, sports, and social group business
- Manage group reservations and room blocks
- Prepare promotional and marketing materials
- Coordinate meeting room setups and layouts
- Communicate with clients and follow up with thank you letters and surveys
- Maintain group calendars and sales reports
- Handle contracts and ensure signed agreements
- Assist in special projects as requested by Director of Sales
- Manage details on the day of meetings and events
- Utilize hotel reservation system for sales administration
- Qualify business leads and build company rate programs
