Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years’ experience in sales or front desk roles with a branded hotel
  • Prior Marriott brand experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • Must be well-groomed and conform to hotel dress code
  • Capable of physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 lbs, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching
  • Willingness to work prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
  • Must demonstrate aggressive hospitality and a commitment to guest satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year hotel sales or front office experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and portray good people skills
  • Excellent organizational and guest relations skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Polished appearance
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed

Job Duties

  • Provide administrative support to the sales team
  • Act as primary contact for meeting and banquet functions
  • Book corporate, sports, and social group business
  • Manage group reservations and room blocks
  • Prepare promotional and marketing materials
  • Coordinate meeting room setups and layouts
  • Communicate with clients and follow up with thank you letters and surveys
  • Maintain group calendars and sales reports
  • Handle contracts and ensure signed agreements
  • Assist in special projects as requested by Director of Sales
  • Manage details on the day of meetings and events
  • Utilize hotel reservation system for sales administration
  • Qualify business leads and build company rate programs
