Job Duties
- Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit business through direct sales solicitation
- secure new customers
- maintain existing customers while executing sales plans strategy to maximize profitability of the hotel
- follow up on leads to gain additional business through account penetration and market saturation
- execute action plans, outline planned sales activities for the week, month, and quarter for assigned market segments
- prepare statistical reports and analysis
- monitor sales automation system to regularly contact and trace frequency of existing client accounts
- provide general clerical support to Sales & Marketing Departments including filing, responding to emails, typing, faxing, copying
- promote brand awareness internally and externally
- assemble material and information packages including brochures, promotional items
- serve as point of contact
- analyze current or potential market sales and trends
- utilize available resources to understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses and capitalize on opportunities
- initiate and follow-up on leads for respective market segments through multiple resources
- collaborate with hotel team members to ensure coordinated sales efforts
- conduct site inspections with clients
- exhibit hotel features and benefits
- prepare presentations
- work with internal departments regarding client needs
- maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- achieve sales revenue goals through in-house guest sales including telephone contacts, greeting tours, inside appointments, and guest interaction
- pursue outside sales calls, telemarketing, hotel site visits including banquet facilities and tours
- network at events
- internet prospecting
- prepare sales-related documents including client records, correspondence, sales agreements, proposals, contracts, and thank you letters
- perform other tasks as necessary to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
