Job Duties

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit business through direct sales solicitation
  • secure new customers
  • maintain existing customers while executing sales plans strategy to maximize profitability of the hotel
  • follow up on leads to gain additional business through account penetration and market saturation
  • execute action plans, outline planned sales activities for the week, month, and quarter for assigned market segments
  • prepare statistical reports and analysis
  • monitor sales automation system to regularly contact and trace frequency of existing client accounts
  • provide general clerical support to Sales & Marketing Departments including filing, responding to emails, typing, faxing, copying
  • promote brand awareness internally and externally
  • assemble material and information packages including brochures, promotional items
  • serve as point of contact
  • analyze current or potential market sales and trends
  • utilize available resources to understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses and capitalize on opportunities
  • initiate and follow-up on leads for respective market segments through multiple resources
  • collaborate with hotel team members to ensure coordinated sales efforts
  • conduct site inspections with clients
  • exhibit hotel features and benefits
  • prepare presentations
  • work with internal departments regarding client needs
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • achieve sales revenue goals through in-house guest sales including telephone contacts, greeting tours, inside appointments, and guest interaction
  • pursue outside sales calls, telemarketing, hotel site visits including banquet facilities and tours
  • network at events
  • internet prospecting
  • prepare sales-related documents including client records, correspondence, sales agreements, proposals, contracts, and thank you letters
  • perform other tasks as necessary to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
