Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospitality sales and catering coordination preferred
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • Self-starting personality with a professional manner
  • Ability to communicate well with guests and co-workers
  • Willingness to assist co-workers and be a team player

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of hotel reservations, sales and catering software programs preferred
  • Basic mathematical skills and calculator proficiency
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work as part of a team and assist co-workers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, hotel departments and customers to ensure high-level service throughout all event phases
  • Recognize and capitalize on opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering event enhancements
  • Manage group and event space blocks in sales systems to ensure optimal space utilization
  • Act as liaison between field sales manager and customers, maintaining presence and availability for problem-solving and suggestions
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges in collaboration with internal departments
  • Manage banquet and meeting spaces for assigned groups
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to assess feasibility of client requests and support promotion, lead generation, and securing repeat business
