Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in metals order management
- Knowledge of hedging in ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in computer systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience in logistics and supply chain coordination
- Ability to handle import/export documentation
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable experience
- Understanding of base metals or commodity hedging and derivative process and the risk factors involved
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid computer skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Basic understanding of market dynamics and their effect on business
- Experience in logistics, customs, and supply chain
- Capability to work under pressure
Job Duties
- Support traders within the areas of customer service and supplier relations
- Proactively manage order requirements from order entry through to completion including creating customer and supplier contracts and managing associated correspondence
- Order entry for ferrous and non-ferrous metals with an understanding of hedging
- Perform systems work including invoicing, crediting customers, processing supplier/vendor invoices, and broker confirmations
- Maintain backlog and ensure accurate information is conveyed to management
- Assist with coordination of logistical and supply chain needs related to orders including inland and sea transport
- Handle import/export related documents and procedures
- Work in a team environment, communicating as required with all personnel
- Attend meetings with team members as needed
- Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed
