Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous sales or event management experience preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency in technology and typing
  • physical ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • excellent organizational skills

  • Previous sales or event management experience in hospitality or travel industry is preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare showrooms and give tours to walk-in customers
  • create and distribute flyers for special events
  • oversee group blocks and rooming lists ensuring accuracy using reservation system
  • work with clients to finalize event details and communicate requirements to relevant departments
  • maintain an updated database of clients, prospects, and past guests
  • provide clerical support to the Director of Sales and Sales team members as requested
  • order and inventory sales amenities and supplies
  • provide support and sales insight to the Front Desk team
  • order Planner Points post events
  • post group deposits, payments and charges
  • create pre-event estimates/invoices and post-event receipts/final charges
  • communicate with groups to ensure billing and detail accuracy
  • maintain sales files
