Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • must be available to work extended hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • 100% on-site work required
  • valid Class C driver's license or equivalent with good driving record
  • ability to maintain Texas driver's license within 30 days of residency
  • must have transportation
  • subject to background investigation and drug/alcohol screening
  • ability to handle normal office environment and occasional outdoor conditions
  • able to lift or carry up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from college or university or high school graduation with experience in sales, event coordination, or customer service
  • knowledge of event planning
  • sales and marketing skills
  • customer service techniques
  • skilled in making sales presentations
  • excellent organizational and writing skills
  • extensive skill in scheduling software
  • ability to speak or present to groups of various sizes
  • ability to work well with staff and other city departments

Job Duties

  • Serves as main contact for event facility rental bookings
  • schedules all events for the Beaumont Civic Center, Julie Rogers Theatre, and Jefferson Theatre
  • prospects within the national, regional and state areas to develop rental of city facilities
  • negotiates all contracts with lessees in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • establishes and maintains events calendar
  • establishes and maintains good working relationships with producers and promoters
  • assists with sales planning and strategies
  • coordinates with administrative and operations staff
  • works at events and venues
  • performs other duties as required
