Job Requirements
- Ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature
- Basic math skills including counting, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Willingness to work intermittently up to 19 hours per week
- Must comply with Direct Deposit and Federal Background check requirements
- Must be U.S. citizen or have valid authorization to work
- Males born after 12/31/59 must register with Selective Service unless exempt
- Must be able to follow loss prevention, safety, and emergency standards
- Availability to work weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school coursework, GED, or high school diploma demonstrating ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Previous retail merchandising or cashier experience preferred
Job Duties
- Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge and help with product selection
- React promptly to customer concerns with importance
- Sell merchandise and provide outstanding customer service possibly including product demonstration or explanation
- Take periodic stock counts and participate in inventories
- Replenish stock and maintain merchandise presentation
- Advise supervisor or department head of customer requests
- Operate cash register including handling payments and balancing sales records
- Perform price changes including markdowns, markups, and promotional displays
- Follow policies regarding loss prevention and be proactive about shrink and Alert Line
- Follow all safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements
- Work weekends as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
