Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature
  • Basic math skills including counting, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Willingness to work intermittently up to 19 hours per week
  • Must comply with Direct Deposit and Federal Background check requirements
  • Must be U.S. citizen or have valid authorization to work
  • Males born after 12/31/59 must register with Selective Service unless exempt
  • Must be able to follow loss prevention, safety, and emergency standards
  • Availability to work weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school coursework, GED, or high school diploma demonstrating ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature
  • Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Previous retail merchandising or cashier experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge and help with product selection
  • React promptly to customer concerns with importance
  • Sell merchandise and provide outstanding customer service possibly including product demonstration or explanation
  • Take periodic stock counts and participate in inventories
  • Replenish stock and maintain merchandise presentation
  • Advise supervisor or department head of customer requests
  • Operate cash register including handling payments and balancing sales records
  • Perform price changes including markdowns, markups, and promotional displays
  • Follow policies regarding loss prevention and be proactive about shrink and Alert Line
  • Follow all safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements
  • Work weekends as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
