Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Must be able to pass skills and knowledge assessment testing
  • Pass drug test and criminal background check
  • Ability to use a computer-based register system
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and balancing register
  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Punctual and dependable attendance

Job Duties

  • Use a computer-based register system
  • Perform basic financial calculations for cash handling and register balancing
  • Count and reconcile till before and after shifts
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting with store operations and merchandise questions
  • Meet production standards for stemming, hanging, pricing, sorting, stocking, and pulling merchandise
  • Rotate products constantly to maintain fresh inventory
  • Sort donations according to company guidelines
  • Price donated goods within Goodwill guidelines
  • Handle and process incoming donations using equipment such as pallet jacks
  • Train and develop team members, clients, and volunteers
  • Maintain punctual and dependable attendance
  • Demonstrate professionalism and a friendly attitude
  • Help load and unload store merchandise
  • Assist in store security
  • Notify management of low and overstocked items
  • Perform janitorial duties as needed
  • Adhere to Goodwill policies regarding sales, exchanges, cash handling, and safety
  • Ensure a positive customer and donor experience
  • Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
