Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in event coordination or retail customer service
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and reaching
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Capability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed
  • Must meet federal, state, and local legal employment requirements
  • Willingness to engage with diverse customers and team members respectfully and positively

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and children's events
  • Retail and/or customer service experience
  • Excellent people skills
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • Facilitate party add-ons according to company standards including goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and create emergency backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with omnichannel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, planogram processes, and merchandise recovery
  • Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to standard operating procedures
  • Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members
  • Cross trained in custom framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
