Job Requirements
- Frequently operate cash register
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
- Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and sales floor
- Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers, managers, and coworkers
- Frequently move across sales floor to assist customers and manage stock
- Ability to work flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel
- Able to identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts and procedures
- Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- Good communicator with ability to engage customers
- Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and answering questions
- Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experience
- Resolve customer concerns by offering solutions and turning returns into exchanges
- Communicate needs to management regarding restocking and customer feedback
- Support team and company goals by collaborating effectively
