Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of customer service or retail sales experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance
- Willingness to work indoors, outdoors, and in chilled environments
- Ability to wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
- Pass background check and National Agency Check
- Ability to adhere to safety and equal employment opportunity policies
- For fuel station positions, must pass and maintain fuel safety training and wear appropriate PPE
Job Qualifications
- At least one year experience in a customer and sales focused environment preferred
- Cash handling skills and basic math proficiency
- Ability to read and understand retail operating standards and procedures
- Strong commitment to service and sales goals
- Attention to detail
- Competence in using retail equipment and technology
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and seek guidance when needed
Job Duties
- Provide world class customer service emphasizing courtesy
- Assist customers in various retail functions including cashier, salesfloor support, stockroom duties and military clothing
- Use retail equipment such as cash registers, RF scanners, handheld devices, price labeling units and signage equipment
- Perform store operational tasks including planogram revisions, stock replenishment, promotional signage setup and maintaining backroom organization via 5S program
- Conduct light housekeeping duties such as sweeping, dusting and trash removal
- Participate in year-end inventory preparation and reporting
- Identify and communicate potential risk of loss or theft
