Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience in a customer and sales-focused environment preferred
- Cash handling and basic math skills
- Experience with cash registers strongly preferred
- Ability to understand and execute operating standards and procedures for service, service recovery, sales, and store brand
- Ability to work in a high-performance atmosphere with commitment to service and sales goals
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds independently and over 45 pounds with assistance
Job Duties
- Provide the highest quality of customer service and sales support in Marine Corps Exchange stores
- Ensure customers are taken care of at all service and sales touchpoints throughout the store
- Meet personal and department sales goals
- Assist Sales and Experience Managers in execution of corporate service programs, promotions, and events
- Complete sales and return transactions using the point of sale system
- Assist customers with location, selection, and purchase of merchandise with courtesy
- Maintain merchandising, display, and appearance of assigned areas
- Ensure items are properly marked and priced
- Handle cash register duties including receiving payments, making change, and bagging merchandise
- Assist in inventories and ensure accountability and security of assigned areas
- Monitor fitting rooms and perform general housekeeping duties such as cleaning and dusting
- Sort and replenish merchandise
- Understand and articulate all MCX value stories, programs, and promotions
- Recognize core values and mission of the Marine Corps Exchange
