Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Prior retail or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Willingness to adhere to food safety and handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to operate cash register or POS system preferred
- Physical stamina for repetitive tasks
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Must have a people first mentality fast friendly service with a smile
- Prior experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers
- Strong verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for handling transactions making change and calculating discounts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work in different shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail and the ability to organize and arrange merchandise effectively
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and experience with operating cash registers or POS systems is a plus
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
- Physical stamina to stand walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and managers
Job Duties
- Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner providing exceptional customer service
- Assist customers in locating products and answering their inquiries about merchandise pricing and promotions
- Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately and efficiently to process customer transactions including cash credit cards and other electronic payment methods
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment including shelves displays and product arrangement
- Stock shelves coolers and displays with merchandise ensuring proper rotation and organization of products
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the supervisor when products need to be restocked
- Follow established procedures for handling cash coupons and store discounts
