Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent walking and standing
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, push, and pull
- Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally
- Ability to climb using step ladder up to six feet
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise level
- Willingness to work in occasional outside weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Ability to stock merchandise
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers
- Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer purchases, collect payment and make change, bag merchandise, assist customers with merchandise
- Follow company merchandise processes including unpacking, stocking, restocking, rotating merchandise on shelves, and building merchandise displays
- Clean the store including taking out trash, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and receiving room, and setting up sidewalk displays
- Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets
