Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work part-time hours including weekends and holidays
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Willingness to learn and adapt to store procedures and policies
Job Qualifications
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts and all levels of employees
- Basic communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
- Organizational skills
- Math skills
- Experience in retail sales preferably specialty retail or footwear
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards
Job Duties
- Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards
- Maintain positive attitude and willingness to serve
- Assist with sales and customer service
- Promote company rewards program and business initiatives
- Maintain awareness of current sales promotions
- Maintain merchandise presentation and stock arrangement
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of store areas
- Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills
- Maintain awareness of loss prevention concerns
- Participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping and receiving merchandise
- Process sales and POS terminal transactions accurately and according to policy
- Check all shoes for mates when performing cashier functions
