Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail sales preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to handle cash accurately
- Willingness to learn product knowledge and fitting skills
- Understanding of company policies and procedures
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to participate in physical inventory and merchandise handling

- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts and with all levels of employees
- Basic communication skills including both verbal and non-verbal
- Basic organizational skills
- Basic math skills
- Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Basic visual merchandising skills
- Understanding of store presentation standards
Job Duties
- Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards
- Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and well-informed approach
- Assist in sales and promote company rewards program and business initiatives
- Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions
- Maintain merchandise presentation by ensuring stock is well arranged and merchandised properly
- Keep cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store
- Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills
- Maintain an awareness of loss prevention concerns involving customers and staff members
- Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise and participate in merchandise placement on the sales floor when needed
- Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure
- Check shoes for mates during cashier functions
- Control cash and maintain accuracy of sales transactions
- Process all sales and POS terminal transactions through the POS terminal in accordance with policy and procedure
- Maintain strict control of all monies and sales documentation
