Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior retail sales experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally
- basic mathematical skills
- awareness of retail sales policies and procedures
- ability to maintain store presentation standards
- availability to work part-time hours including weekends
- physical ability to handle inventory tasks and standing for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and all levels of employees
- basic communication, organization, and math skills
- experience in retail sales preferably in specialty retail or footwear
- basic knowledge of the policies and procedures
- basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards
Job Duties
- create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards
- maintain awareness of all current sales promotions
- maintain merchandise presentation including stock arrangement and store cleanliness
- develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills
- maintain an awareness of loss prevention concerns
- participate in inventories, shipping, receiving, and merchandise placement
- process all sales and POS terminal transactions accurately according to policy
- ensure cash control and accuracy of sales transactions
