Job Requirements

  • Ability to frequently operate cash register
  • Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise up to 5-10 feet in height
  • Ability to frequently ascend and descend ladders
  • Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in various work areas
  • Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers, managers, and coworkers
  • Ability to move across the sales floor and stockroom assisting customers and managing merchandise
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs
  • Ability to identify and understand email and printed instructions
  • Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80 percent of the time

Job Qualifications

  • At least 16 years old
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and possible overnight shifts
  • Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
  • Good communicator with the ability to engage customers effectively
  • Able to handle customer interactions and concerns courteously and professionally
  • Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
  • Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist customers promptly
  • Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and offering recommendations
  • Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experience
  • Resolve customer concerns using product knowledge and provide alternative solutions
  • Communicate merchandise restocking and customer feedback to management
  • Support team and company goals by collaborating with coworkers
  • Operate cash register and handle customer transactions efficiently
