Job Requirements
- Frequently operate cash register
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Frequently ascend or descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
- Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop
- Frequently communicate and exchange information face-to-face and on the telephone
- Frequently move across the sales floor and stock room assisting customers and managing merchandise
- Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and potentially overnight shifts
- Must be able to understand email and print instructions regarding merchandise, schedules, and procedures
- Must be able to remain stationary and upright for 80 percent of the time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and offering recommendations
- Promote store events and promotions to enhance customer experience
- Resolve customer concerns professionally, aiming to turn returns into exchanges
- Communicate needs to management about merchandise and customer feedback
- Support team and company goals to achieve store objectives
