Job Requirements
- Frequently operate cash register
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise up to 5-10 feet
- Frequently ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
- Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop on sales floor and stock room
- Frequently communicate accurately with customers, managers, and coworkers
- Ability to work flexible schedule including day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts and travel
- Must identify and follow email and print instructions on layouts, schedules, and procedures
- Must remain in stationary upright position for 80% of the time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- Good communicator with ability to engage customers
- Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
- Basic information-gathering skills for problem-solving
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and offering recommendations
- Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experiences
- Resolve customer concerns and convert returns into exchanges when possible
- Communicate needs to management regarding restocking and customer feedback
- Support team and company goals by collaborating with coworkers
- Operate cash register frequently and assist with merchandise stocking
