Job Requirements

  • Frequently operate cash register
  • Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs
  • Frequently ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
  • Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stockroom and sales floor
  • Frequently communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions regarding store procedures
  • Must be able to remain upright in stationary position for 80% of the time

Job Qualifications

  • At least 16 years old
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
  • Good communicator with ability to engage customers
  • Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
  • Use basic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn through on-the-job training

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist customers promptly
  • Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and offering recommendations
  • Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experience
  • Resolve customer concerns with product knowledge and provide alternative solutions
  • Communicate needs to management regarding restocking and customer feedback
  • Support team and company goals by collaborating with colleagues
  • Operate cash register and handle merchandise according to safety guidelines
