Job Requirements
- Frequently operate cash register
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs
- Frequently ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
- Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stockroom and sales floor
- Frequently communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers
- Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
- Must be able to read and follow instructions regarding store procedures
- Must be able to remain upright in stationary position for 80% of the time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- Good communicator with ability to engage customers
- Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
- Use basic problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and offering recommendations
- Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experience
- Resolve customer concerns with product knowledge and provide alternative solutions
- Communicate needs to management regarding restocking and customer feedback
- Support team and company goals by collaborating with colleagues
- Operate cash register and handle merchandise according to safety guidelines
