Job Requirements
- Frequently operate cash register
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Frequently ascend or descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
- Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stockroom and sales floor activities
- Frequently communicate effectively face-to-face and on the phone with customers, managers, and coworkers
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and potential overnight shifts or travel
- Able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and procedures
- Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80 percent of the time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- Good communicator with the ability to engage customers
- Able to handle customer interactions and potential concerns courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and offering recommendations
- Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experience and drive sales
- Resolve customer concerns by offering alternative solutions and turning returns into exchanges when possible
- Communicate needs to management regarding restocking and customer feedback
- Support team and company goals by collaborating with associates and maintaining a positive work environment
