Job Requirements
- Frequently operate cash register
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to 5-10 feet high
- Frequently ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and store stock
- Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop while working on the sales floor and stock room
- Communicate accurately with customers, managers, and coworkers in person and by telephone
- Move frequently across the sales floor and between stock room
- Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as needed
- Ability to read and follow instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and standard procedures
- Ability to remain in stationary upright position for 80% of the time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and potential overnight shifts
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- Good communication skills to engage with customers effectively
- Ability to handle customer interactions and resolve issues courteously and professionally
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn procedures through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, and offering recommendations
- Promote store events and promotions to enhance customer experience and drive sales
- Resolve customer concerns and strive to turn returns into exchanges
- Communicate restocking needs, service requirements, and customer feedback to management
- Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives
