Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Basic proficiency with point of sale systems
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work part-time hours including weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation to and from the store
Job Qualifications
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and all levels of employees
- Basic communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
- Organization skills
- Basic math skills
- Experience in retail sales preferably in specialty retail or footwear
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards
Job Duties
- Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards
- Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions
- Maintain merchandise presentation by ensuring stock is well arranged and properly merchandised
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all store areas
- Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills
- Maintain awareness of loss prevention concerns
- Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and help with merchandise placement
- Process all sales and POS terminal transactions accurately in accordance with company policy
