Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior retail sales experience preferred
- ability to work flexible part-time hours including weekends and holidays
- strong communication skills
- customer service orientation
- basic math skills
- ability to handle cash and operate POS systems
- physical ability to stand for long periods and handle merchandise
- attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing
Job Qualifications
- interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts and employees
- basic communication, organization, and math skills
- experience in retail sales preferably in specialty retail or footwear
- basic knowledge of policies and procedures
- basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards
Job Duties
- Create an excellent shopping experience through awareness and company service standards
- maintain awareness of all current sales promotions
- maintain merchandise presentation including stock arrangement and cleanliness
- develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills
- maintain awareness of loss prevention concerns involving customers and staff
- participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping, receiving, and merchandise placement
- process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure
