Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous retail sales experience preferred
- ability to work part time including weekends and holidays
- basic math and communication skills
- ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical aspects of merchandise
- reliability and punctuality in attendance
- compliance with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and employees at all levels
- basic communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
- basic organization and math skills
- experience in retail sales preferably specialty retail or footwear
- basic knowledge of company policies and procedures
- basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards
Job Duties
- create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards
- maintain awareness of all current sales promotions
- maintain merchandise presentation ensuring stock is well arranged and merchandised properly
- maintain cleanliness and organization of all store areas
- develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills
- maintain awareness of loss prevention concerns involving customers and staff
- participate in physical inventories assist in shipping and receiving merchandise and merchandise placement on the sales floor
- process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure maintaining accuracy and control of cash and sales documentation
