Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous retail sales experience
- ability to maintain accurate sales transactions and cash handling
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work part-time hours as scheduled
- basic math and organizational skills
- awareness of loss prevention policies
- ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking and inventory
Job Qualifications
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts and all levels of employees
- basic communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
- basic organizational skills
- basic math skills
- experience in retail sales preferably in specialty retail or footwear
- basic knowledge of company policies and procedures
- basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards
Job Duties
- Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards
- maintain awareness of all current sales promotions
- maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly
- maintain cleanliness and organization of all store areas
- develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills
- maintain awareness of loss prevention concerns involving customers and staff
- participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping and receiving merchandise
- process all sales and POS terminal transactions according to policy and procedure
