Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant marketing and event coordination experience
- At least one year of coordinating the work of others
- Experience in public or private community-oriented assembly facilities is desirable
- Possession of a valid class C driver license or ability to use alternative transportation
- Ability to motivate, train and coordinate staff
- Implement and oversee computer-based booking and set-up diagram systems
- Monitor quality of client services and identify improvements
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Write and produce marketing materials
- Establish effective working relationships with clients, employees, and agencies
- Work with diverse backgrounds and personalities
- Provide effective customer service
- Experience with sales and marketing techniques
- Knowledge of event scheduling and floor space planning
- Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree
- Two years of recent, paid increasingly responsible work experience marketing and coordinating events
- At least one year of experience coordinating the work of others
- Experience coordinating events in a public or private community-oriented facility desirable
- Ability to motivate, train and coordinate staff
- Effective sales and marketing techniques
- Knowledge of event management principles
- Skill in using computer-based booking and floor space systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds
- Proficiency in customer service techniques
Job Duties
- Develops and implements marketing and sales strategies to generate leads and support Beach House event services
- Coaches, trains and motivates event services staff to deliver high-quality customer service
- Works collaboratively with meeting planners and professional associations to promote the Beach House
- Conducts sales tours for prospective clients and responds creatively to inquiries
- Develops online and collateral marketing materials
- Works closely with event service vendors such as caterers on practices and marketing
- Assists in establishing and evaluating revenue control mechanisms for event bookings
- Acts as onsite representative coordinating setups, staffing and client relations
- Interacts with clients regarding contract compliance
- Performs other duties as assigned
