Job Requirements
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events
- Prior catering sales or event planning experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering sales systems
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in catering/sales systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Prior catering sales, event planning, or hospitality sales experience strongly preferred (2+ years ideal)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Skilled in negotiations and confident in presenting ideas to individuals and groups
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Adaptable and resourceful to client needs and changes
- Passionate about sales, service, and creating memorable guest experiences
Job Duties
- Proactively solicit, develop, and maintain catering business through prospecting, networking, and client relationship management
- Partner with clients to understand their vision, goals, and budget, translating them into customized proposals and contracts
- Prepare detailed banquet event orders (BEOs) and work closely with operations, culinary, and conference services to ensure flawless event execution
- Conduct site inspections, tastings, and client presentations that showcase the property and its offerings
- Negotiate rates, menus, and event packages in alignment with hotel revenue strategies while delivering exceptional value
- Maintain accurate and timely records of bookings, client communications, and revenue forecasts
- Monitor group room blocks, deposits, and catering revenue to ensure targets are achieved and billing accuracy is maintained
