Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must be able to obtain a Louisiana Racing License
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documentation
  • Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints
  • Ability to write and present information to management
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations related to duties
  • Ability to solve problems and draw conclusions
  • Ability to interpret instructions and handle multiple variables
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in office and casino environments
  • Willingness to work in conditions with exposure to smoke, bright lights, and noise

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales or event coordination
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage sales software platforms
  • Experience with reservation and payment processing systems
  • Ability to perform site inspections and client tours

Job Duties

  • Work closely with Horseman Relations to ensure seamless service for clients
  • Process all credit card transactions using Converge to ensure secure payment handling
  • Support new sales clients through the event process
  • Partner with Sales Management to support annual Group Sales and Membership Strategy
  • Represent Fair Grounds at local, regional, and national sales and tourism meetings
  • Act as primary sales software administrator for platforms like Delphi, Micros, and tickets.com
  • Coordinate with Partnership and F&B Director to execute partnership agreement activations
  • Conduct site inspections and tours
  • Manage all reservations and box seat sales through Ticketmaster
  • Ensure compliance with PCI regulations
  • Sell, process and execute all trophy presentations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
