Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years hospitality sales experience
  • Prefer Boise based support
  • Ability to work between two properties as needed
  • Proficient in sales and/or event management
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail with ability to read and write business correspondence effectively
  • Creative thinking and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Strong personal skills including time management, information analysis, problem-solving, planning and organizing, decision making
  • Strong mathematical skills including ability to compute discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, and Excel
  • Ability to conduct client research and stay informed on industry trends
  • Willingness and ability to travel including air or car transport, hotel overnight stays, and client entertainment
  • Ability to multitask and manage dual property assignments
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hospitality sales platforms preferred
  • Ability to conduct client research and stay updated on industry trends
  • Ability to travel including overnight stays
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive client and interdepartmental relationships

Job Duties

  • Meet and exceed sales goals of assigned market segments
  • Focus on achieving revenue goals through sales plan and strategy, client development, relationship management, networking, and identifying new target markets
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities and relevant client contact information within the sales and events database
  • Report weekly achievements against goals for prospecting, inquiries, activities, and industry events
  • Solicit and secure new business through outside sales calls
  • Participate in trade shows, promotional events, and industry events
  • Conduct site inspections and client presentations
  • Respond to inbound requests for proposals within 24 hours
  • Negotiate and close deals with clients using appropriate contractual language
  • Differentiate from competition and add value for potential customers
  • Implement sales plan based on demand segments to maximize market share
  • Obtain necessary information for efficient event planning including setups, food and beverage specifications, and AV requirements
  • Act as liaison between operations department and client
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of operations departments
  • Monitor client satisfaction during planning and execution of events
  • Provide hands-on support during event execution as needed
  • Prepare event orders, resumes, diagrams, and other documentation and distribute to property departments
  • Conduct meetings with property departments to review event information
  • Manage accounts and follow-up with clients for future business opportunities
  • Achieve assigned goals and objectives
  • Maximize efficiency in time management and productivity
  • Forecast revenue of assigned groups
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients and all departments
  • Comply with accounting standards including deposits, direct billing, and pre-payment
  • Verify accurate revenue posting and client billing
  • Develop full knowledge of applicable standards, policies and procedures
  • Attend required meetings
  • Achieve client sentiment goals
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Support both properties as needed
  • Travel for client entertainment and business purposes as required
