Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in event sales or hospitality sales
  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule and manage remote and onsite responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM or sales software
  • Ability to conduct property tours, including standing and walking for extended periods
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
  • Competence to engage with clients professionally both in-person and via digital platforms

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in event sales, preferably within the social events, wedding, or hospitality industry
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills within the local and regional events community
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with event planning processes and contract negotiation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM or sales management software
  • Ability to represent a brand professionally and with warmth and confidence
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms such as WeddingWire, The Knot, or Pinterest is a plus
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new social event business including weddings and retreats
  • Respond to qualified inbound leads while maintaining strong follow-up and conversion discipline
  • Build and maintain relationships with wedding planners, event professionals, wellness partners, and local industry contacts
  • Participate in bridal shows, open houses, site visits, and networking events to generate new business
  • Conduct ongoing market research within the social and wedding space including competitive insights and SWOT analysis, and provide quarterly market feedback
  • Lead client conversations from initial inquiry through contract execution
  • Review and present estimates and contracts with clients ensuring alignment with property policies, pricing strategy, and revenue goals
  • Actively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell lodging, food and beverage, buyouts, and ancillary experiences
  • Conduct professional, engaging property tours that showcase Dawn Ranch's unique offerings
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the sales process delivering a thoughtful, responsive, and polished experience
  • Manage and curate the Dawn Ranch Pinterest account to support wedding and social event inspiration
  • Leverage third-party platforms including WeddingWire, The Knot, and Sonoma County Tourism Hospitality Hub to increase visibility and lead generation
  • Collaborate with internal marketing partners to align messaging and brand representation
  • Work closely with sales support who handles administrative and documentation tasks allowing focus on revenue-generating activity
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, food and beverage, and leadership teams to ensure smooth event execution and client satisfaction
  • Utilize Microsoft Office 365 and internal sales systems to manage accounts, reporting, and pipeline activity
