Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- minimum three years club, resort, or hotel experience in management
- three years private club management preferred
- front of house and sales experience required
- availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays
- experience with North Star preferred
- class 12 liquor license
- food handler's permit
- CPR/first aid certification
- ServSafe Manager Training
- ability to sit and stand for extended periods
- capable of stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- able to lift and push/pull at least 50 pounds
- able to work long hours on singular days
- ability to communicate effectively with all demographics
- capable of working in moderate noise environment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred with business or hospitality management focus
- minimum of three years club, resort, or hotel management experience with progressive responsibilities
- three years private club management preferred
- front of house and sales experience required
- proficiency with North Star software preferred
- knowledge of catering, meeting rooms, food and beverage, and audiovisual sales
- demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organizational and time management abilities
Job Duties
- Act as the main contact for all events including member and private events
- maintain a 24-hour communication policy for electronic communication
- proactively solicit and manage group/catering related opportunities
- close business opportunities using negotiating and creative selling skills
- prepare all event paperwork including BEOs, floor plans, billing, and scheduling
- attend weekly and bi-weekly Food and Beverage and Leadership Team meetings
- train and supervise the Banquet Captain and Catering Events Team
- collaborate with culinary and management teams to determine pricing and menus
- conduct tours and discuss booking logistics with prospective clients
- develop and implement marketing plans for events
- inspect event spaces and coordinate vendor needs
- maintain a master event calendar and sales reports
- assist in production during member-related events upon request
