Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years experience in event sales and coordination preferred
- Must be fluent in English
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with CRM platforms
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Must be presentable and professionally dressed
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Must meet sales and outreach goals
- Must attend networking events
Job Qualifications
- 2-3 years minimum of event sales and coordination experience
- Knowledge of Charleston market
- Ability to gain and maintain client relationships
- High level of organizational and administrative skills
- Prior experience in hospitality (restaurant, event venue or hotel) preferred
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience using TripleSeat platform or similar CRM
- Ability to negotiate, influence and sell prospective clients
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends based on events
Job Duties
- Promote, book and execute all private, semi-private and offsite events
- Respond efficiently to online and telephone inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
- Remain calm and composed in high pressure situations and multitask effectively
- Liaise between departments and clients to meet client needs, budget and time constraints
- Work closely with Sales & Events team to assess progress and develop sales strategies
- Collaborate with Marketing department to drive organic business and event sales
- Generate progress reports and outline strategies for improvement
- Create and maintain relationships with local companies, vendors and hotel teams
- Meet sales, outreach and performance goals set by Director of Sales
- Attend multiple evening networking events as company representative
