The Bryant Conference Center (BCC) is a distinguished event and meeting facility located in the heart of Tuscaloosa on The University of Alabama's campus. Job Requirements

  • Must be a current UA employee
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • At least 19 years of age at time of hire
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report in compliance with university policies
  • Willingness to work periodic evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse client groups and university staff
  • Must pass pre-employment background investigation

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience in event planning, hospitality, marketing, or public relations
  • Proficiency in written, verbal, and electronic communications
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Preferred experience in hotel, resort, or conference center environments
  • Experience with account management, event reservation software, and CRM

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate meetings and events at the Bryant Conference Center
  • Assess client needs and negotiate details of campus arrangements
  • Develop creative solutions for space limitations and clients' budget constraints
  • Facilitate details of clients' events ensuring smooth operations
  • Develop and administer noncredit programs delivered by Bryant Conference Center
  • Collaborate with university personnel and faculty to implement program details
  • Support client satisfaction through effective communication and event management
