The Bryant Conference Center (BCC) is an integral part of The University of Alabama's vibrant campus, located in the heart of Tuscaloosa. As West Alabama’s premier meeting and event facility, the BCC boasts a wide range of rooms including classrooms, boardrooms, and diverse event spaces, all designed to accommodate academic, business, and social functions. Job Requirements
- Must be a current University of Alabama employee
- valid U.S. driver's license
- must be at least 19 years old at time of hire
- acceptable Motor Vehicle Report in compliance with University policies
- ability to work some evenings and weekends
- willingness to undergo pre-employment background investigation
- ability to work in a campus-based environment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- experience in event planning, hospitality, marketing, or public relations
- strong interpersonal skills
- proficiency in written, verbal, and electronic communications
- ability to work collaboratively with diverse client groups and university staff
- experience with account management
- knowledge of event reservation software
- familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
Job Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate meetings and events at the Bryant Conference Center
- assess clients' needs and negotiate campus arrangement details
- develop creative solutions for space limitations and budget constraints
- facilitate event details from preparation to execution
- develop and administer noncredit programs delivered by the Bryant Conference Center
- communicate effectively with clients, university personnel, and faculty
- work periodic evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed due to event schedules
