Job Requirements

  • associate's degree conferred at time of application
  • 2 years event planning experience
  • 1 year supervisory responsibility
  • valid driver's license and compliance with university vehicle policy
  • Food ServSafe certification obtained within six months of hire

Job Duties

  • communicate with clients and guests throughout event scheduling set-up and onsite delivery of services
  • enter all event information and contracts into event management systems
  • promote sell and coordinate use of event and meeting spaces
  • develop client relationships and execute sales strategies
  • ensure external organization spaces are set up to client specifications
  • perform custodial duties as needed
  • manage classroom and conference room technology issues
  • communicate with clients and caterers for event catering needs
  • handle shopping supplies set-up and tear down
  • supervise student employees including hiring training monitoring evaluating and scheduling
  • provide detailed instructions for employees responsible for event coverage
  • serve as liaison for external client events during evenings and weekends
  • set locks communicate building issues coordinate with custodial and grounds staff
  • coordinate facility needs with supervisor
  • perform related duties as assigned
