Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of hospitality sales experience
- Knowledge and expertise in sales and/or event management
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail with business correspondence
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in mathematical operations including discounts, commissions, and percentages
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to travel including air, car, hotel stays, and entertainment

Job Duties
- Meet and exceed sales goals of assigned market segments
- Achieve revenue goals through sales plan, client development, relationship management, and networking
- Maintain accurate and timely records within the Sales & Events database
- Report weekly achievements against prospecting, inquiries, and industry events
- Solicit and secure new business through outside sales calls
- Participate in trade shows and promotional events
- Conduct site inspections and client presentations
- Respond to inbound RFPs within 24 hours
- Negotiate contracts and close sales
- Implement sales plan to maximize market share
- Obtain information for event planning and communicate with operating departments
- Serve as liaison between operations and clients
- Monitor client satisfaction during event planning and execution
- Prepare and distribute event orders, resumes, and diagrams
- Conduct interdepartmental meetings to review event details
- Manage client accounts and follow-up for repeat business
- Achieve assigned goals and objectives
- Maximize time management and productivity
- Forecast revenue of assigned groups
- Develop and maintain open communication with departments
- Establish positive professional relationships with clients
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Confirm accurate revenue posting and client billing
- Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
- Attend required meetings
- Achieve client sentiment goals
