Job Requirements

  • minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in hospitality sales or event management
  • proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
  • attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions
  • must comply with company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 1-3 years of hospitality sales experience
  • knowledge and expertise in sales or event management
  • strong sales and negotiation skills
  • attention to detail and business correspondence skills
  • ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
  • strong personal skills including time management and problem solving
  • strong mathematical skills and ability to compute discounts and percentages
  • technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality sales platforms
  • ability to conduct client research and stay updated on industry trends
  • ability to travel for work and client entertainment

Job Duties

  • meet and exceed sales goals of assigned market segments
  • focus on achieving revenue goals through sales plan and strategy
  • maintain records of activities and client contact information
  • report weekly achievements against goals
  • solicit and secure new business by making outside sales calls
  • participate in trade shows and industry events
  • conduct site inspections and client presentations
  • respond to inbound RFPs within 24 hours
  • negotiate with clients and close deals
  • implement sales plans to maximize market share
  • obtain information for efficient event planning
  • act as liaison between operations and clients
  • monitor client satisfaction during events
  • prepare event orders and related documents
  • conduct meetings with departments
  • manage accounts and follow up for repeat business
  • achieve assigned goals and objectives
  • maximize time management and productivity
  • forecast revenue of groups
  • develop and maintain working relationships with departments
  • establish positive relationships with clients
  • comply with accounting standards
  • confirm accurate billing
