Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or related field
  • minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, hotel management, or related roles
  • proven experience managing large-scale events and driving revenue
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • willingness to work holidays, weekends, and evenings
  • ability to travel to networking events and potential clients
  • proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and event management software

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Design and implement creative group sales plans to promote Mississippi Aquarium group offerings
  • coordinate all aspects of group visits with clients and aquarium staff
  • develop and maintain client relationships to maximize event sales opportunities
  • promote event availability through networking and client engagement
  • identify and secure B2B sales for employee passes, team building, and corporate partnerships
  • manage client packages and ensure customer satisfaction through regular check-ins
  • develop and oversee consignment ticket sales program with local partners
  • manage consignment inventory, stock replenishment, and product presentation
  • track, report, and adjust consignment program performance to meet sales targets
