Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in catering sales or related hotel services
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Have reliable transportation
- Ability to work outside sales calls frequently
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient in hotel property management systems such as Delphi
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Capability to negotiate contracts and manage event details
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple client inquiries

Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years catering sales or hotel catering/convention services/banquet/hotel sales/culinary arts experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Proficient in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and property management systems
- Excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management, listening, and math skills
- Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value
- Capable of reading and interpreting documents and writing routine reports and correspondence

Job Duties
- Handle and follow up on inquiries for small meetings and events with or without guestrooms
- Negotiate contracts and banquet event orders (BEO)
- Identify and price customer needs for the event, up-selling and closing sales
- Communicate group details and changes to all hotel departments
- Present potential business at sales meetings and conduct client and staff meetings to ensure event success
- Finalize and detail catering plans for groups and orchestrate functions on-site or off-site
- Prospect for new catering business using various methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, trade shows, and community functions
- Monitor blocked space to ensure contractual obligations are met and initiate release of blocked space on cut-off dates
- Maintain account files in Delphi software system ensuring accurate communication between client and hotel staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
