Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • physical ability to perform maintenance tasks including snow and ice removal
  • knowledge of safety protocols and legal building safety requirements
  • capability to perform preventive maintenance and basic vehicle upkeep
  • effective communication skills
  • punctuality and reliability
  • willingness to follow directions and report problems as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in building maintenance or related field preferred
  • ability to perform physical labor including snow removal
  • knowledge of safety standards and building codes
  • ability to perform preventive maintenance on equipment and vehicles
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work independently and report issues promptly

Job Duties

  • Ensures safe and secure buildings and grounds
  • removes snow and ice from walkways and steps in the winter
  • performs all safety checks required by the building and law
  • reports immediately all unsafe conditions to the Director of Facilities or other designated authorities
  • maintains buildings, grounds, and equipment in good working order
  • performs preventive maintenance on maintenance equipment
  • reports building and grounds maintenance problems
  • maintains school vehicles including simple preventive maintenance and cleaning
  • performs other maintenance and operational duties as assigned
  • dresses appropriately to show respect for the school
  • communicates all maintenance problems to the Director of Facilities
  • reports regularly to the Director of Facilities
