Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in safety and health-related field preferred
- Equivalent relevant experience accepted
- Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge of federal, state, local and company safety regulations
- Proficiency in safety management software and tools
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to recognize and correct hazardous situations
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Proficiency in construction technology
- Ability to work accurately and timely
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a safety and health-related field preferred
- Equivalent relevant experience considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience required
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in company safety software and tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to enforce all relevant federal, state, local, and company safety regulations
- Skilled in recognizing hazards and implementing corrective measures
- Proficient in required construction technology
- Effective in building relationships and collaborating with internal and external teams
Job Duties
- Coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine and complex construction projects
- Conduct regular construction site inspections to ensure legal and company policy compliance
- Perform safety audits by identifying, documenting, and recommending hazard abatements
- Deliver project-specific new hire safety orientation and oversee drug and alcohol policy compliance
- Monitor implementation of prime contractor and subcontractor safety programs
- Attend project meetings to discuss safety-related matters and chair safety committees
- Aid in accident investigations, determine root causes, and recommend process improvements
- Coordinate treatment and return-to-work processes for injured employees
- Monitor site safety incentive program effectiveness
- Utilize safety management systems to perform trend analysis and offer future risk mitigation recommendations
- Provide guidance and training on basic and intermediate safety topics
- Assist safety leadership during insurance audits
- Oversee safety on more complex projects including large-scale and multiple projects concurrently
